Actor Kavin Opens Up About His First Meeting With Thalapathy Vijay's Son Jason Sanjay

Thalapathy Vijay’s son, Jason Sanjay, is all set to make his debut in Tamil cinema as a director. According to reports, Jason has already signed a deal with a leading production company for his upcoming project. Meanwhile, amidst the rumours, actor Kavin, who is popularly known for his role in the film Dada, was speculated to join the cast.

In a recent interview, Kavin spilt the beans about his meeting with Jason, which is currently garnering everyone’s attention. He said that they had only one meeting where he informed them about his commitments, which was just a friendly and formal discussion. Furthermore, the actor stated, “He told me that they’d discuss and let me know, but no further discussion happened after that.”

Kavin said that he has previously met Thalapathy Vijay, despite his tremendous stardom, the megastar always keeps himself simple and down-to-earth. He further said, “I went to see Thalapathy Vijay’s son, bearing in mind his humble attitude, but Jason Sanjay is much more unassuming than his father. He is very simple and humble. It even astounded me.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kavin will soon be seen in the upcoming Tamil romantic drama film Star. The movie is written and directed by Elan and jointly produced by BVSN Prasad and Sreenidhi Sagar under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra and Rise East Entertainment.

Kavin is playing the main lead, while the cast also includes Lal, Aaditi Pohankar, Preity Mukhundhan, and Geetha Kailasam.

The film revolves around Kalai, a youngster who pursues his dream of becoming an actor but goes through various obstacles. Yuvan Shankar Raja created the music for the film. The cinematography is handled by Ezhil Arasu K, and the editing is done by Pradeep E Ragav.

Meanwhile, the makers, along with the whole team, are busy with the promotion of Star. Recently, during a media interaction, Kavin was questioned over the report going viral regarding his salary. As he has earlier claimed to have increased his salary, Answering this, Kavin said, “No one will pay the salary that we are asking for. If you are moving from one office to another, you will only go if the salary is higher. It depends on our previous salary. The market determines the salary of an actor.” Star is scheduled to release worldwide on May 10, 2024, in theatres.
