Malayalam actress Jyothirmayi’s mother PC Saraswati, took her last breath at the age of 75 on March 29 (Friday). According to reports from Asianet News, PC Saraswati was admitted to a medical facility in Kochi before her death due to an illness.
The mortal remains of PC Saraswati were laid out for public view in their residence Thirunakkara near the street Ernakulam Lissi-Pulleppadi. Later in the day, at 5 PM, the funeral was held in the crematorium of Ravipuram, where family and friends played their last rites.
Meanwhile, Jyothirmayi, who is known for her unforgettable appearances on the screen, has withdrawn from the spotlight for some time. Her last film appearance was in the family drama Housefull which was released in 2013. The family drama film, directed by Linson Antony and screenplay by Shiju Nambiath, starred the actress Tini Tom in the lead role. The film was not a great success at the box office, although the comedy-drama received good reviews from the audience due to its simple plot and acting performances.
Recently, she was seen in a grey-mottled look and her pictures went viral on social media. The pictures were taken at the Alumni Meeting of the Kerala Media Academy. They caused a stir on the Internet in a very short time. The Kerala Media Academy has put the photos online. In her first film Pilots (2000), she played a supporting role and the film was a box office flop. She became known after the release of Meesa Madhavan (2002) together with the actor Dileep. She married Nishanth Kumar on the 6th. September 2004. Six years later, the couple filed for divorce, which took a turn on the 1st. October 2011 was granted. She married on April 4 2015 to the film director and cameraman Amal Neerad.
