Adil Khan Durrani has finally revealed if he married Rakhi Sawant for publicity. In a recent interview, Adil explained that if he wanted to become an actor or enter Bigg Boss, he would have done it by just being Rakhi’s boyfriend. Adil married Rakhi last year but parted ways after she levelled several allegations against each other.
Adil Khan Durrani further accused Rakhi of “doing things for publicity” and made it clear that he had not married the actress to step into the world of showbiz. “If I was using her to foray into showbiz or a publicity stunt, I could have been just her boyfriend and done that. But I married her. It’s Rakhi who does things for publicity so that she gets an opportunity to go inside the Bigg Boss house. Yes, I want to become an actor and have learnt acting from a reputed institute. But no, Rakhi was not my stepping stone to showbiz,” Adil told E-Times.
“In fact, my life was a big mess after I got into a relationship with her,” he continued and then added, “Every year she does something for publicity so that it becomes a talking point and she gets an opportunity to go inside the BB house. It is a pattern. Last year, she could not go inside the BB house, because I was in jail and she could not find anything more as a publicity stunt.”
Adil Khan Durrani and Rakhi Sawant parted ways last year after the Bigg Boss fame levelled several allegations against him and accused him of being involved in extramarital affairs. Adil was then picked up from Rakhi’s residence and arrested on February 7, 2023. He was released after spending five months in jail.
Adil recently got married to Somi Khan following which he accused Rakhi of stealing people’s money. He called her an “imposter” and a “cheater” and went on to claim that she is “frustrated” because several cases are filed against her.
