Indian Idol 12 saw composer-singer Anu Malik, lyricist Sameer Anjaan and playback singer Udit Narayan coming on the reality show to boost the morale of the contestants. All of the participating singers bowled over the trio with their performances, which were dedicated to their respective Bollywood careers.
The highlight of the episode was Shanmukhapriya’s performance who sang a medley of songs written by Sameer– Crazy Kiya Re and Dhoom. Sameer was so impressed with her performance that he said if a fourth Dhoom film will be made, he would want Shanmukha to sing the title track. Meanwhile, Anu also went to the stage and asked Shanmukha, “Will you sing for me?” Shanmukha could not hold back her excitement and was elated as Anu offered her the big Bollywood break.

Earlier, Indian Idol 12 judge Himesh Reshammiya had promised Idol contestant Pawandeep Rajan that he would record as many as ten songs with him. Later, he also revealed that Pawan has already recorded two of his upcoming songs. After Pawandeep, Shanmukha has seemingly got her big break as a playback singer in Bollywood.
Indian Idol 12 will be seeing elimination of one of the contestants in Sunday’s episode. The participating contestants were seen making vote appeals to their fans throughout the duration of the show. Which Indian Idol contestant are you rooting for this season?
