Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli welcomed their first child, daughter Vamika Kohli on January 11. On Thursday, the actress took to Instagram Stories to share a glimpse from Vamika’s two-month anniversary.
Anushka shared a picture of a gorgeous multilayered cake with a slice cut from it. The yummy light-blue cake has been decorated with a rainbow and stars. “Happy 2 months to us,” Anushka captioned the picture.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Virat took to Instagram to share an adorable picture of Anushka and Vamika. He captioned it, “Seeing the birth of a child is the most spine chilling, unbelievable and amazing experience a human being can have. After witnessing that, you understand the true strength and divinity of women and why God created life inside them. It’s because they are way stronger than us men. Happy Women’s Day to the most fiercely, compassionate and strong woman of my life and to the one who’s going to grow up to be like her mother. And also a Happy Women’s Day to all the amazing women of the world.”
A few days after they welcomed Vamika, Anushka took to Instagram to share an adorable post where she introduced her daughter to the world and thanked fans for their well-wishes. We have lived together with love , presence and gratitude as a way of life but this little one , Vamika has taken it to a whole new level ! Tears , laughter , worry , bliss – emotions that have been experienced in a span of minutes sometimes ! Sleep is elusive. but our hearts are SO full. Thanking you all for your wishes , prayers and good energy (sic),” she captioned the post.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s love story began on the sets of a shampoo commercial that they did together. After dating for several years, the couple got married in a private ceremony in Tuscany, Italy in the year 2017. They announced their pregnancy in August last year.
