Panaji: Argentina's most popular film this year, ‘El Clan (The Clan)’ will bring the curtains down on the 46th edition of the International Film Festival of India, a statement by the festival's organisers said on Tuesday.
"Argentina's Oscar entry and this year's biggest Argentinean box office hit 'The Clan' (El Clan), directed by Pablo Trapero will be the closing film of IFFI 2015," the statemend said, adding that "Danish Girl", directed by Academy Award winner Tom Hooper would be the mid-fest film.
The 46th edition of the film festival will be held in Goa from November 20-30.
The 11-day festival will screen 187 films in various sections from 89 countries. Spain is the country of focus this year.
The festival's opening film is "The Man Who Knew Infinity", directed by Mathew Brown. It's a film on the 1913 self-taught Indian mathematical genius Ramanajun and his friendship with G.H. Hardy, who helped reveal the mathematics genius to the world.
The festival will be brought to a close by A.R. Rahman on November 30.
More than 7,000 delegates from 38 countries, most from India, have registered for the festival which will also be accompanied by the ninth edition of the Film Bazaar, a networking event aimed at facilitating collaboration in the realm of production and distribution.
