Britain’s Royal Family members Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have revealed about their life as the royals and the aftermath of exiting the institution to live a normal life. In their interview to Oprah Winfrey, the expecting couple talked about the treatment they received when they decided to move away from their royal lives.
After her shattering interview, Meghan has been receiving support from celebrities from all over the world. The latest to stand by Meghan’s words is pop-star Beyoncé, who showed her love for Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, in a powerful message posted on her website.
The superstar singer displayed her support through a message on Tuesday. Thanking the former actress for her “courage and leadership”, Beyonce wrote, “We are all strengthened and inspired by you.”
She posted the message along with the picture of the Duchess, which was clicked when she and Jay-Z met the royal couple during the premier of Lion King.
Not just Beyonce, but Serena Williams, Sophie Turner, Patrick J Adams and Abigail Spencer have also showed their support to Meghan in recent days. While Patrick and Abigail supported her over allegations by the royal staff, Sophie and Serena stood by her after the interview.
The interview was the first time when Prince Harry and Meghan addressed media since stepping back from their roles as senior royals. Meghan also spoke about her suicidal thoughts and how she was denied professional help in the name of the institution. In addition to these, she also revealed about the "concerns and conversations" of the senior royal members about the color of their son Archie's skin.
On the other hand, the Buckingham Palace has responded to Meghan and Prince Harry’s claims about the royal family. Stating that the allegations about racism are being taken seriously, the statement was issued in the name of the Queen.
