Diljit Dosanjh’s undying love for Kareena Kapoor Khan is no secret, and he’s never been shy about expressing it. During his recent concert in Mumbai on April 13, he couldn’t resist shouting out his love for Kareena once again, saying, “Hogi Rihanna, hogi Beyonce, sadi ta ae he hai, Kareena (There might be Beyonce and there might be Rihanna but we have her).”
Interestingly, this wasn’t the first time he’s made such a bold statement. He said the same thing at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding bash in Gujarat, where even Rihanna showed up to perform. Diljit didn’t hold back then, and he certainly isn’t now. Despite Kareena’s not being present at the concert, Diljit kept the love flowing, belting out Naina from her film, Crew. He said in Punjabi that even though kareena is not there tonight, he would like to repeat the same thing to support her.
Of course, Kareena, being the ultimate fangirl, shared the moment on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “Fan girl foreva”.
Not long back, during a conversation with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, the Punjabi singer recalled his first day at Udta Punjab sets and spoke of how Kareena Kapoor approached him, mentioning that her staff wanted to take photos with him. “That was a huge deal for me. I never ever thought I would even meet her in life. Our scene hasn’t started yet. So, big artists like her cool you down when you’re working with them for the first time,” he said before acknowledging that Kareena Kapoor’s gesture was aimed at making him feel comfortable. “I felt great,” Diljit added.
Apart from their on-screen chemistry, Diljit Dosanjh and Kareena Kapoor also share a strong camaraderie off-screen. Recently, during a live with the singer, Rhea Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, Kareena said, “Everyone knows that I am on this live only for one person and that is for Diljit Dosanjh. I am here for him and I am here to hear his voice.”
