Director John Varghese, who has won the hearts of the audience with his debut film Adi Kapyare Kootamani, is all set for his third project. On Friday, September 13, he, along with the producers, launched his new film at Mar Baselios Christian College of Engineering & Technology, Kuttikkanam.
According to reports, the upcoming film will be produced by Manoj Kumar KP under the banner of Thrissur-based Surya Bharati Creations. However, the launch ceremony of the upcoming film was attended by the Peerumedu MLA, Vazhoor Soman, a member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly and Executive Producers P. Jayachandran and S.B. Madhu, to name a few.
Reports suggest Varghese is making a fun and thriller movie based on the background of an engineering college. A group of students is thinking about how to make campus life more festive. During their journey, they have to face a problem outside the campus. This crisis gives the film a new twist. The incident makes the subsequent crises in the children’s lives very stressful.
Reports suggest the film will star Shine Tom Chacko, Baiju Santhosh, Prem Kumar, Manju Pillai, actor John Vijay, and famous YouTuber John Vettiyar as the main leads. Along with this, the film also features some newcomers, including Vineet Mohan, Sajith Ampat, Sanjay, Prince, Elizabeth, and Vijayakrishnan AB. While the music for the film will be composed by Suresh Peter and the cinematography will be handled by Suraj S. Anand and edited by Lijo Paul. It is expected that the makers will make an official announcement soon. The shooting of the film is said to be completed in Peerumedu, Kuttikkanam, Vagamon, and Kumily.
Director John Varghese’s debut film, Adi Kapyare Kootamani, was a huge success. This 2015 Indian Malayalam comedy horror film was co-written and directed by John Varghese and starring Dhyan Sreenivasan, Namitha Pramod, Mukesh, Aju Varghese, Neeraj Madhav, Vineeth Mohan, and Bijukuttan in the lead roles. The film was jointly produced by Sandra Thomas and Vijay Babu under the banner of Friday Film House and Carnival Motion Pictures. Shaan Rahman has composed the soundtrack and background score for the film.
The filming commenced on September 7 at the University Hostel Campus in Thiruvananthapuram. The title of the film Adi Kapyare Kootamani was revealed on September 8, 2015.
