Emma D'Arcy Says She Felt 'Lonely' After Shooting House of the Dragons Alone
The second season of the Game of Thrones prequel will see Emma D’Arcy (Rhaenyra) and Matt Smith (Prince Daemon) up against Olivia Cooke (Alicent) and her children for the claim of the iron throne.

House of the Dragon is all set to return for its second season. Just to remind you — The House Targaryen was left divided at the end of season one. And, the upcoming season is poised to bring even more intense face-offs. The second season of the Game of Thrones prequel will see Emma D’Arcy (Rhaenyra) and Matt Smith (Prince Daemon) up against Olivia Cooke (Alicent) and her children for the claim of the iron throne. During the premiere, Emma D’Arcy revealed that she kind of felt lonely while shooting the second season of House of the Dragons.

In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Emma D’Arcy spoke about her experience shooting the second season. The actress revealed that she felt lonely as she had to shoot without her co-stars, Matt Smith and Olivia Cooke.

She said, “It really makes you know what you lost, I suppose—every time we do get to work [together], it’s a great privilege and very exciting and very thrilling and nourishes something because it sort of feels old. So much of us making the first series, well, for me, was falling in love with them—with Matt, with Liv, with other members of the cast—so anytime you get joy in that is a treat. But shows have to move on, I think that’s what keeps it exciting, and there are different gravitational pulls this season for Rhaenyra."

Emma D’Arcy added that she feels extremely lucky to be a part of the show with Matt Smith and Olivia Cooke.

Currently, there is a lot of excitement for the thrilling season. It will premiere on June 16. Fans can watch it on Jio Cinemas.
