Superman star Henry Cavill is stepping into a new role in real life. The Hollywood actor marked Father’s Day in a special way this year by announcing that he and his partner, television producer Natalie Viscuso, are expecting their first child together. Cavill shared the news on Instagram, posting a selfie from the baby’s room, which features a crib and changing table in the background. In the heartfelt post, the Man of Steel star also reached out to fellow fathers for advice as he prepares for this new chapter. Although details such as the baby’s due date and gender were not disclosed, the announcement has sparked excitement among his fans.
Interestingly, Cavill had initially confirmed the pregnancy news in April during the premiere of, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, where he expressed joy about the arrival of their baby. Meanwhile, confirming the news again on social media, Cavill wrote, “Oh yeah and Happy Father’s Day ye dads out there. Turns out I shall be joining your hallowed ranks soon. Any tips? And don’t worry, pillows won’t be in the crib when the wee one arrives, just glue and scapels so he or she can build Warhammer miniatures.”
During an interview with Access Online on the red carpet of The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Henry Cavill credited his mom and dad for “inspiring him to become a parent.” He added, “I’m very excited about it. Natalie and I are both very excited. I’m sure you’ll see much more of that.”
For those not aware, the Mission Impossible Fallout actor first announced his relationship with Natalie Viscuso on Instagram in 2021. They later made their red carpet debut as a couple during the premiere of his 2022 movie Enola Holmes 2.
On the work front, Henry Cavill has several exciting projects lined up. He is set to star in and produce an Amazon series based on a war game, Warhammer 40,000. On the other hand, Cavill will also play a lead in The Grey, an upcoming thriller directed by Guy Ritchie, alongside Eiza Gonzalez, Jake Gyllenhaal, Rosamund Pike, and Fisher Stevens. He is also expected to reprise his role as Sherlock Holmes in Enola Holmes 3, featuring Millie Bobby Brown.
