Janhvi Kapoor is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming movie, Mr and Mrs Mahi. On Tuesday, the actress visited New Delhi to promote her upcoming film when she also visited the iconic India Gate. In the photos that surfaced on social media, Janhvi was seen posing in front of the India Gate.

However, what caught everyone’s attention was Janhvi Kapoor’s saree. For her visit, the actress sported a cricket-themed white and red saree, the border of which had cricket balls printed on it. Janhvi ditched accessories, kept her tresses open and looked prettiest as ever. Check out the pictures here:

A couple of days back, Janvi Kapoor also visited Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh when she was also seen doing the Ganga Aarti. Janhvi was also seen accompanied by her Mr and Mrs Mahi co-star Rajkummar Rao.

Directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Zee Studios and Dharma Productions, Mr and Mrs Mahi will see Janhvi Kapoor playing the role of a budding cricketer. Recently, the actress opened up about her intense training for the film when she recalled how she used to practise every day for hours at a ground in Bandra.

“When I started prepping for the film – during Mili promotions – I was 8-9 kilos heavier. Sharan was very stressed. He said, ‘You don’t look like a cricketer and if you really want to do this film, you need to lose weight and need to start training in cricket. Mere jo coach they, Abhishek Nayar, who was my coach, said, ‘Jis tarah ki training aapke saath ki gayi hi, humare IPL players ke saath bhi nahi ki jaati – itna intense tha'(The kind of training that was done with you, even our IPL players don’t get – it was that intense). I used to practise in the nets with KKR players, who got recently recruited,” she said during the trailer launch of the film.

Prior to this, the makers of the film also shared a behind-the-scenes clip of Janhvi’s transformation as Mahi. In the video, the director revealed that the actress was initially assuming the training would be similar to what she had done for Gunjan. However, when the training started, she realised it was nothing like that.

Mr And Mrs Mahi is all set to hit theatres on May 31, 2024.
