The Hollywood star has been roped in for director Rian Johnson’s upcoming mystery thriller Knives Out 3, titled Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. The film is the third installment in the popular Knives Out franchise. The third segment is scheduled to hit the silver screens sometime in 2025. Now, Rian Johnson has piqued the interest of movie enthusiasts a notch higher. The director has dropped the much-anticipated first look of Daniel Craig on social media, announcing the beginning of the film’s shoot.

Sharing a black-and-white picture of Daniel Craig’s character Benoit Blanc on X (formerly Twitter), Rian Johnson wrote, “Aaaaand we’re off! Today is day 1 of shooting on the next Benoit Blanc mystery “Wake Up Dead Man” – see you on the other side.” The photo captured Craig dressed in a three-piece suit looking suave. He sported long hair, unlike his other appearances in the previous two Knives Out segments. The actor held a hat in his hands and displayed a grim expression, staring at something in the distance.

Fans of the Knives Out franchise were over the moon by the filming announcement. Many even lauded Daniel Craig’s new long-haired look. “Long-haired Benoit? Let’s go,” exclaimed an excited user. Drawing parallels with Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible franchise, an individual pointed out, “The Knives Out movies are gonna be like Mission Impossible with Tom Cruise alternating between long and short hair. The plot of the third part is currently under tight wraps.
