Known for her impressive performances in several hit films, Kriti Sanon is particularly excited about her upcoming mystery thriller, Do Patti. Co-starring the talented Kajol and Shaheer Sheikh, the film holds special significance for Kriti, as she has taken on the role of producer and has been actively involved in its promotional efforts. Recently, she showcased a series of stylish looks that not only captivated her audience but also caught the attention of Netflix.
While Kriti is celebrated for her vibrant personality, her latest look showcases a striking blend of black, white, and “some shades of grey.” The actress shared a series of stunning pictures, one of which features her stunningly draped in a black dress with eye-catching white cutouts. Another photo captures the Bollywood diva in a relaxed yet stylish ensemble, donning a blue top paired with baggy pants—ideal for a leisurely day out. Her third look stands out as the most unique, featuring a chic grey and white top paired with a matching long skirt. She completed this ensemble with trendy black leather boots.
Interestingly, Kriti might also be hinting at the evolving shades of her character, as she takes on a dual role in this thrilling project. Sharing the photos on Instagram, she captioned, “This Heer is a little black, a little white with some shades of grey.” Netflix responded to her post with, “Love this Heer in all her shades.”
Speaking about Do Patti and her dual role, Kriti Sanon said, “The film has twists and turns with a lot of drama and rivalry but at the core of it, it does talk about an important issue I personally felt for. I’m hoping it will stay with audiences and also move them to tears. Traditionally, in such movies, the two sisters have a separate journey and they end up meeting towards the end. But here 70% to 80% of my scenes were with Saumya and Shailee in the same frame. In the early days, they would put scotch tape in the centre of the set and block off half the camera. I had to act out half the scene then walk over to shoot the second portion. Also, the camera couldn’t move. In certain cases it still can’t,” as quoted by The Hindu.
During the interview, Kajol commended Kriti’s dedication as a producer and praised the film’s intriguing plot in Do Patti. She noted Kriti’s impressive growth as an actress since their collaboration in Dilwale. Kajol was particularly impressed by Kriti’s ability to seamlessly switch between her dual roles in the film. Without revealing any spoilers, she explained that the goal of Do Patti is to leave the audience guessing and eager to find out what happens next.
Do Patti will be streaming on Netflix from October 25.
