The movie we are talking about is called Kaabil. This romantic action thriller is directed by Sanjay Gupta, written by Vijay Kumar Mishra, and produced by Rakesh Roshan under the banner FilmKraft Productions. The film features Hrithik Roshan, Yami Gautam, Ronit Roy and Rohit Roy as the main leads. Rajesh Roshan composed the music for the film.
The film follows a blind dubbing artist who grows disillusioned as his wife suffers injustice and dies. He becomes a vigilante and decides to seek revenge against those responsible for his wife’s death, while also dodging police with a cover that no one would believe a blind man can kill someone. Kaabil was released theatrically on January 25, 2017.
Hrithik Roshan bagged the Nomination of Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his outstanding performance at the 63rd Filmfare Awards. The film was commercially successful despite performing weakly upon its release in China in 2019. Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam’s film Kaabil is currently available on Disney Plus Hotstar.
Yami, in an interview with TOI, had spoken about Kaabil. She said, “We didn’t want to appear to be trying too hard. I believe the visually impaired are the strongest. The individuals in the picture do not show signs of helplessness; in fact, their zeal for life is remarkable.” In the film, Yami and Hrithik Roshan had fantastic on-screen chemistry. The obvious bond between Supriya and Rohan (Hrithik’s character) adds layers of emotion to the plot, making their journey a poignant one.
Yami Gautam was last seen in the film Article 370. Hrithik Roshan will next be seen in War 2.
