New Delhi:Not many actors and filmmakers dare to make films on the differently abled. Those who do make films, many a times end up making a caricature of the characters making it look extremely forced.
'Amu' director Shonali Bose and Kalki Koechlin together bring the spirited story of Laila, a girl born with celebral palsy in 'Margarita With A Straw'. The film then explores Laila's life and struggles as she gets admission in the prestigious New York University.
The film has already made the rounds of various international film festivals and Kalki's performance has won rave reviews as well.
