Actor Dilip Joshi has immortalised the character with his impeccable acting skills and we have come to love him over 16 years since the show’s inception. Dilip turned 56 on May 26 and has amassed quite a fortune in the entertainment industry. As per reports, his net worth has grown from Rs 20 crore to Rs 47 crore, a massive 135 per cent growth in 5 years.
Besides a massive net worth, Dilip’s remuneration for the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is Rs 1.5 lakh per episode, as per reports. He is also passionate about cars and owns an Audi Q7 which starts at Rs 82 lakh and goes up to Rs 89 lakh. He also owns a Toyota Innova, which costs around Rs 14 lakh.
In November 2021, the 56-year-old actor purchased a subcompact SUV KIA Sonet that cost Rs 12.29 lakh. Many of us may have gotten used to watching the actor reside in Gokuldham society. However, in reality, he has a beautiful house in Goregaon worth Rs 5 crore.
Before achieving this fame, the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor faced many difficult times in his career. He had shared details regarding this in an earlier episode of The Bombay Journey. Dilip shared that during Hum Aapke Hain Koun, he needed funds. He said that in 1992, his daughter Neeyati was born. At that time, the actor claimed that he did only a play through which he used to earn around Rs 400-450 per show. Even though Hum Aapke Hain Koun became a blockbuster at the box office, Dilip did not get any work offer for a long time.
Dilip Joshi has showcased his impeccable acting skills in many films as well including Humraaz, Pratighaat, Khiladi 420 etc. On the personal front, Dilip Joshi is married to Jaymala Joshi with whom he has a daughter Neeyati and son Ritwik.
