Oviya REACTS As Fan Asks For Longer Version Of Her Leaked Private Video: 'Next Time Bro'

Oviya, a contestant from Bigg Boss Tamil Season 1, found herself in the spotlight due to a leaked personal video circulating online, showing her in a compromising situation. While neither Oviya nor her team have officially addressed the controversy, she posted a picture on Instagram on Saturday. In the comments, she confronted a user who tried to harass her by asking for the link to the extended version of the video, responding to the inappropriate remark. She wrote, “Next time bro.”

Screenshots of Oviya’s reply quickly circulated on X (formerly Twitter), despite her disabling comments on her Instagram post. Many online users suggested the video is a deepfake. As the video went viral, some people were shocked, while others speculated that the images and videos were edited just to harass her.

Oviya, whose real name is Helen Nelson, is a well-known South Indian actor primarily working in Malayalam and Tamil cinema. She made her film debut in 2007 with the Malayalam movie Kangaroo alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran. Besides acting, Oviya has also been part of reality shows on television. In 2017, she became a contestant on the first season of Bigg Boss Tamil, hosted by the famous actor Kamal Haasan. Oviya impressed viewers with her gameplay and quickly gained popularity. She later made a guest appearance in Bigg Boss Tamil 2, further connecting her to the show.

In Tamil cinema, she made her debut with Naalai Namadhe in 2009, and since then, she has appeared in several notable films, including Ganesha Meendum Santhipom, Muthukku Muthaaga, Yaamirukka Bayamey, Sillunu Oru Sandhippu, and Hello Naan Pei Pesuren. Most recently, Oviya starred alongside Yogi Babu in the 2024 Tamil film Boomer Uncle. She is also expected to take on major roles in upcoming projects like Raja Bheema and Sambhavam, though the latter is currently on hold.
