Pamela Anderson Denies Connection To New Baywatch Documentary: 'I Don’t Want To Go Backwards’
The 57-year-old actress and model opened up about her mindset after years in the spotlight following Playboy, Baywatch and other projects.

Pamela Anderson is ready to move beyond her iconic ’90s persona from Baywatch and other projects. In a recent interview, the 57-year-old actress and model expressed her desire to be recognised for who she is today, distancing herself from the image that once dominated magazine covers and television screens. Anderson emphasised that she has no interest in revisiting her past chapters.

“Even now, someone showed me something Hulu is doing, some kind of Baywatch documentary, which I have nothing to do with,” Anderson clarified, despite rumours that original cast members might be involved. “So they dug up some old interview, but I wasn’t involved. They begged everyone around me to get me on board. They even tried to convince my kids to talk me into it by offering them producer credits,” she told Glamour magazine.

“They really pulled out all the stops. But I told them, ‘No, I really don’t want to go backwards,’” she added.

Anderson also reflected on Hulu’s miniseries Pam & Tommy, which deals with her relationship with her ex-husband Tommy Lee. She pointed out that the show was made without her input, despite attempts by actress Lily James and creator Robert Siegel to contact her. “I never had any say in it. I didn’t know anything about it,” she said. Thinking back to the time in 1995 when her private tape with Lee was leaked, Anderson described it as “a complete crime” that deeply impacted her. She shared how the Hulu series stirred up painful memories, reports People.

“It hit me harder than I expected,” she revealed. “Just thinking about it again made me sick when it came out. It really felt like another blow, that people could find entertainment in that. I think I lost my husband, my sanity and my career because of it. At the time, I didn’t realise it,” she added.

During that challenging time, Anderson said she accepted jobs she normally wouldn’t, like reality TV roles such as Big Brother, to support her family. Today, however, she is focusing on crafting a life that feels more authentic to who she truly is.

As for what’s next, Anderson reportedly didn’t reveal anything specific. She said these past few years have been about finding herself and learning what she truly loves and wants to do moving forward.
