Raayan: Dhanush's Intense First Look From His Upcoming Revenge Drama Goes Viral, See Poster
Dhanush recently dropped a glimpse from his next titled Raayan. The film is being helmed by the superstar himself.

Tamil superstar Dhanush recently announced his 50th film. Titled Raayan, the film is being produced by Kalanithi Maran and will be bankrolled under the banner of Sun Pictures. The film is being directed by Dhanush himself. The makers dropped the first glimpse of the film with an intriguing poster. The poster also revealed the first look of the superstar.

Sharing the same on his Instagram handle, Dhanush wrote, ‘RAAYAN’ in the caption. In the poster, Dhanush looked intense as he stood, dressed in an apron. Apart from Dhanush, the movie also stars SJ Suryah, Dushara Vijayan, Kalidas Jayaram, Aparna Balamurali, and Sundeep Kishan in lead roles. The film’s music is being composed by AR Rahman.

Raayan is touted to be a revenge drama. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. The film’s shooting was wrapped in December last year and is currently in its post-production stage. Dhanush had begun shooting this project in July last year. The film was announced with a new poster, which featured the actor with a clean-shaven head.

Back in 2017, Dhanush made his directorial debut with the film ‘Pa Paandi’. The film also brought him his first Filmfare Award for Best Director—Tamil.

Dhanush is one of the leading actors in Tamil cinema. His recently released film, Captain Miller, received mixed reviews from fans. The movie was produced by Sathya Jyothi Films and directed by Arun Matheswaran. Dhanush plays the lead in the first installment of a trilogy that also featured supporting performances from Shiva Rajkumar, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Aditi Balan, Sundeep Kishan, Edward Sonnenblick, and John Kokken.

Reportedly, Dhanush has also begun work on his third directorial, titled Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam’. According to a report in The Times of India, it stars a young cast, including Pavishm Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Warrier, and Mathew Thomas in lead roles. Dhanush also has the Bollywood movie ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ in his kitty with director Anand L Rai.
