Boddupalli Srinu, popularly known as Getup Srinu, is a comedian who recently debuted as a lead in the Telugu film Raju Yadav. It was written and directed by Krishnamachary K. Apart from Getup Srinu, the film also starred Ankita Kharat, Ananda Chakrapani, Rocket Raghava, Santosh Kalwacherla and Sriram in prominent roles. The film was jointly produced by Rajesh Kallepalli and Prashanth Reddy under the banner of Charisma Dream Entertainment. Even though the film couldn’t perform well at the box office, the performance of Getup Srinu was appreciated by the critics and the audience. The film is currently streaming on the OTT platform Ahaa.

Raju Yadav, touted to become a maiden lead role hit for the comedian and actor, Getup Srinu, couldn’t gather the spectators after its theatrical release. The film is now available on the Ahaa OTT platform. The film was claimed to be based on the real incidents. Raju Yadav’s plot revolves around the story of a young man who is hit by a cricket ball on his face. Due to this, the actor’s face was stuck in a smiling posture. This issue became a big problem for the main lead, played by Getup Srinu and he goes against his parents to make money for his facial surgery. Belonging to the middle class, his father was unable to collect money for the surgery as they had a daughter at home who was waiting to get married.

The film takes a turn after Raju Yadav meets Ankita Kharat and falls in love with her. The movie goes on with the scenes where the protagonist goes to Hyderabad for the girl he loves and tries to get close to her. As per the viewers, the last 20 minutes of the film involves an emotional conversation between the father and son.

Getup Srinu’s performance is the highlight of the film. He has acted with a smiling face throughout the film. The music of Raju Yadav was composed by Harshvardhan Rameshwar while the editing was handled by Bonthala Nageswara Reddy. The film was made on a budget of only Rs 3 crore. The film which couldn’t gather an audience in theatres is expected to increase viewers through its OTT release.
