Richa Chadha is embracing the most beautiful phase of her life, motherhood. The actress and her husband Ali Fazal welcomed their first child, a baby girl in July this year. Recently, during an interview, the Heeramandi actress opened up about this new chapter of her life and described her cute little bundle of joy as a ‘4-kilos Boss’ who sets the house schedule.
Talking to Hindustan Times, Richa spoke about her experience with her two-month-old daughter, describing her as a ‘boss’ who sets their home routine. “We have a 4-kilo boss at home and we work according to her timelines now,’ the actress said. Furthermore, she described this period of life as full of new experiences, with highs like getting eight hours of sleep and lows like fatigue and brain fog. “But I take comfort in knowing that everyone has come from a woman,” she added.
Speaking about the changes that she felt after embracing motherhood, the Fukrey actress said, “There are many changes both physical and emotional but I find my instinct to be sharper now.” As about her professional life, the actress shared that she is currently nesting and recovering, but has begun working on her productions from home. She intends to resume her acting work in November.
Recently, Richa posted a then-and-now video on her social media handle that beautifully captured the evolution of her relationship with Ali. The first image in the clip features Richa and Ali from their early days of dating, with the couple standing next to each other, while the next snap depicted the Furious 7 actor cradling their 2-month old daughter.
Sharing the post on Instagram, the actress wrote in the caption, “From ‘let’s touch his elbow with my elbow for this photo op’ to the baby resting its head on the same elbow, we’ve come a long way. As you can see, literally our hands are full, so not being able to post so often. K thanks bye.”
On the work front, Richa was last seen in director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, in which she played Lajjo, a courtesan. Apart from her, the show also starred Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Shamrin Segal, Taha Shah Badussha, Fardeen Khan and Shekhar Suman in lead roles. Heeramandi premiered on the OTT platform Netflix.
Ali, on the other hand, will be next seen in director Anurag Basu’s Metro…In Dino alongside Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Konkona Sensharma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta and Anupam Kher. The film is set to hit the big screens on November 29.
