Shark Tank India's Anupam Mittal Takes a Dig At Namita Thapar For Attending Cannes 2024? Know Here
Even though Anupam Mittal did not name anybody, netizens were left sure that he was taking a dig at his Shark Tank India co-judge Namita Thapar.

Shark Tank India judge Anupam Mittal has sparked a controversy with one of his recent posts about the Cannes Film Festival. Recently, the entrepreneur took to his official X (formerly known as Twitter) handle and talked about how “anybody” can attend the prestigious event these days. He mentioned that previously only a few selected ones could attend Cannes but today, anybody can grace the show. “There was a time only the super-famous could but these days anybody Canne,” he wrote.

While Anupam Mittal did not name anybody, netizens were left sure that he was taking a dig at his Shark Tank India co-judge Namita Thapar. The Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals marked her debut at the Cannes red carpet just a few days back.

Reacting to Anupam Mittal’s post, one of the users wrote, “Who are you taking a dig at? next time tag pls.” “Direct @namitathapar ko tag Karo, why this ‘anybody’ ka rona,” added another. “Is he talking about Namita?” asked a third user.

For the unversed, Namita Thapar attended the Cannes Film Festival’s second day. She wore a mint green gown by designer Elio Abou Fayssal for the premiere of Chris Hemsworth’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.

Namita also spoke about her excitement, mentioning that she loves the unique colour of her dress and hopes she won’t trip over its long train on the red carpet! Talking about her elaborate gown, she told Brut, “I love the colour because it is so different. It is a colour that I have never worn before. I just hope that I can manage this long train, but I am having fun… I pray I don’t trip over it (her gown) on the red carpet.” Later, she also took to her Instagram handle to share pictures from her Cannes debut.

Meanwhile, talking about Shark Tank India, the show recently concluded its third season. Besides Namita Thapar and Anupam Mittal, the sharks’ panel also included Vineeta Singh, Aman Gupta, Peyush Bansal, Amit Jain, Ritesh Agarwal, Azhar Iqubal, Radhika Gupta and Ronnie Screwvala.
