Soham Shah’s psychological thriller Kartam Bhugtam will be premiered at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday, May 26. The recently released film stars Shreyas Talpade and Vijay Raaz in the lead roles. Produced under the banner of Gandhar Films & Studios Pvt Ltd, the film was released on May 17. Revolving around Karma and its consequences, the film has impressed the viewers with its thrilling trailer. The film has now gained special recognition and will be screened for the officials of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B) at Rashtrapati Bhavan. It will premiere at the Cultural Centre and the Films Division Auditorium, Mahadev Road.
Filmmaker Soham Shah feels honoured after the officials from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting expressed their interest in watching Kartam Bhugtam. “This is a significant validation for the entire team who have poured their hearts into this film. It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to share our work with such a distinguished audience” said Soham Shah as quoted by IANS. He called it a testament to the hard work and dedication of his entire team.
The filmmaker said that this is a momentous occasion for the Kartam Bhugtam team. The story of the film is woven around Dev Joshi (Shreyas Talpade), who has reached Bhopal from New Zealand after ten years to settle the property issues after the death of his father. so that he can settle property matters after the death of his father. The paperwork faced several challenges as the bank managers pointed out mistakes in the death certificate. Frustrated by the constant roadblocks, Shreyas Talpade visits an astrologer who decides to help him. The essence of the film is that who goes around comes around, hence Karma plays a major role in the person’s life. Santos Thundyil does the cinematography of the film while the music is composed by Shabbir Ahmed. It is edited by Biren Jyoti Mohanty. The performance of Shreyas Talpade and Vijay Raaz is appreciated by the critics and audience. Soham Shah is known for films like Kaal and Luck. Kaal starred Ajay Devgn, John Abraham, Vivek Oberoi, Esha Deol and Lara Dutta in the lead roles.
