Ever since Thalapathy Vijay’s The Greatest of All Time (GOAT) was announced, fans have been eagerly waiting for every update. Now that the film has hit the theatres on September 5, Thalapathy fans are quite excited to catch their favourite star performing on the big screen and relish his acting before he bids adieu after his 69th film to enter politics. While the film has created quite a stir, one particular scene from the film has made cine-goers excited. GOAT is a Tamil action thriller film directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by AGS Entertainment. It stars Thalapathy Vijay in dual roles, alongside Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Ajmal Ameer, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Vaibhav, Yogi Babu, Premgi Amaren and Yugendran. It marks the penultimate film of the star before he ventures into politics. The film narrates the story of an SATS officer who suddenly chose retirement to lead a quiet and ordinary life. He has to reconcile with his squad members after problems arise from their past mission.
In the film, there is a car that Thalapathy Vijay can be seen driving whose number plate reads, “TN 07 CM 2026”. Reportedly, the TN 07 is a nod to the director, Venkat Prabhu’s favourite cricketer, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, whose jersey number is 7. The CM 2026 part of the number plate has sparked speculations as people believe that it could be a hint at the Leo actor’s entry into politics and the possibility of him being the CM.
Tamil Nadu’s state assembly elections are all set to take place in 2026. Thalapathy Vijay has already launched his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. He is actively preparing for his entry into politics. Since people are aware that the actor will be delivering one final film and then entering politics, the CM 2026 is being seen as a symbolic reference which fans are quite happy about.
Thalapthy Vijay’s GOAT has been made on a budget of Rs 400 crore. As per reports, it has already surpassed Rs 100 crore at the box office worldwide.
