Reportedly, the makers of The Greatest of All Time are currently shooting a short schedule in Chennai.

Thalapathy Vijay is currently dominating the news headlines for his upcoming film The Greatest of All Time, GOAT. Venkat Prabhu has written and directed this film. Vijay’s fans have been waiting for this film for a long time. Amidst these developments, there is an important update related to The Greatest of All Time.

According to reports, Venkat plans to wind up the shooting of this film by the April end. As of now, one of the film’s schedules has been wrapped up in Puducherry. Reportedly, they are now shooting for a short schedule of the film in Chennai. Post the filming of this schedule, they will move to Sri Lanka to complete the other scenes of The Greatest of All Time.

Vijay’s fans were in for a delightful surprise when they got to know that the shooting of GOAT was taking place in Puducherry. A large number of his fans had gathered at Puducherry to get a glimpse of him. Vijay, however, didn’t participate in the shooting on that day and this left the fans disappointed. They reportedly waited for more than 2 hours to see Vijay.

Yogi Babu, Jayaram, Prabhu Deva, Laila, and others will also act in The Greatest of All Time. AGS Entertainment has backed the film.

Besides films, Thalapathy Vijay is in the limelight for his future political ventures. He recently launched his party Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam and aims to contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly polls. Vijay has also confirmed in a statement that he will not contest the 2024 Loksabha elections. Vijay said that he would leave cinema after completing two films to become a full-fledged politician. His foray into Tamil Nadu politics will mark another high-profile entry from cinema after Kamal Haasan, MG Ramachandran, Shivaji Ganesan, etc.

Currently, Vijay is at the peak of his career and as per an India Today report, earns Rs 125 crore per film. His last film Leo also performed well at the box office and earned more than Rs 600 crore worldwide. Lokesh Kanagaraj directed the film which also starred Anurag Kashyap and Sanjay Dutt in key roles. This film is currently streaming on Netflix.
