Telugu stars Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi got married in 2023. Although their wedding in Italy was not held on a big scale and was attended by just family and close friends, it became one of the most talked about weddings in recent times, especially since Varun Tej belongs to Tollywood’s influential Mega family. Both Lavanya and Varun are still in the formative years of their respective careers Lavanya Tripathi was recently seen in Miss Perfect, an OTT series which is being streamed on Disney+Hotstar. During the promotion of the web series, Lavanya was asked about her romance with Varun Tej.
Lavanya revealed that the duo fell in love while they were filming for their 2017 film Mister together. She also said that Varun Tej proposed to her in the same way that his character had proposed to Raashii Khanna’s character in the 2018 film Tholi Prema. Varun proposed to her with a bunch of flowers which upset her since she is not particularly fond of flowers.
Varun Tej also opened up about their relationship in a recent interview with The Indian Express. He disclosed that at first, the two of them had chosen to keep their relationship a secret since they were still getting to know one another and gaining a foothold in the film industry.
“It was hard to balance at first when I wanted to keep it under wraps,” Varun remarked. He said, “It did work!” to the question of whether it is even conceivable for two celebrities to conceal their relationship. “I am a living illustration. It has many challenges, but it did function. Sometimes all you want to do is walk outside, break the pressure off and just chill.”
Varun Tej is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Operation Valentine, scheduled to be released on March 1. Directed by Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, the movie is a historical action thriller and is shot in both Telugu and Hindi.
