Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Waala Video, featuring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri in the lead has finally premiered in the theatres today, October 11. Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the comedy-drama became the talk of the town ever since it was announced by the makers in September. However, as per reports, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Waala Video did not witness any rush in the advance sales. The movie was able to sell less than 25,000 tickets in the top two National chains, including PVR Inox and Cinepolis.
According to Pinkvilla, 5,500 tickets were sold at Cinepolis while PVR Inox recorded the sale of 16,500 tickets. Keeping in mind the current ticket sale trend, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Waala Video is expected to mint Rs 5 crore on its opening day. The collection will majorly depend on the walk-in and spot bookings. The Dussehra period can also have a favourable outcome for the film helping it in amassing Rs 17 to Rs 21 crore at the box office. If Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Waala Video strikes a chord with the masses, the movie can witness a spike in the collections.
The trailer of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video was unveiled in September. Set in the 1990s, the film depicts a sweet and unique love story between the lead pair. The plot revolves around the couple losing a CD with private information on it. They are put in a tough spot when someone else with ulterior motives receives the CD and asks them for a handsome ransom. Hence kickstarts a comedy of errors, filled with hilarious dialogues, romance and uncertainty. Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video also features Mallika Sherawat, Archana Puran Singh, Vijay Raaz, Mukesh Tiwari and Mast Ali in key roles. The trailer also hints at a dance sequence featuring Shehnaaz Gill.
Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is produced under the banner of Balaji Telefilms, T-Series, Wakaoo Films, Gulshan Kumar and Kathavachak Films. Speaking about Rajkummar Rao, the actor previously won hearts with his performance in Stree 2, also starring Shraddha Kapoor. On the other hand, Triptii Dimri was last seen in Bad Newz alongside Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk.
