Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma Wedding: Bollywood Showers Love, Says 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'

Soon after Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma confirmed the news of their marriage on their respective social media accounts, congratulatory messages started pouring in for the much-in-love couple, who tied the knot in a private ceremony in Italy on December 11.

“Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey,” Anushka and Virat wrote alongside pictures of them from their D-Day.

Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Madhuri Dixit, Anil Kapoor, Sridevi, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and many others filled Twitter with loads of love and blessings for the newly married couple.

Taking to Twitter, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “Virat & Anushka... wishes and blessings on this most auspicious day in your lives... happiness and togetherness ever. (sic)”

Anushka’s first onscreen star Shah Rukh gave his love to the couple and tweeted, “Ab yeh hui na real Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. My love to both @AnushkaSharma & @imVkohli May God bless you with happiness & health.”

Priyanka Chopra, who is currently in the US for her TV show Quantico, commented on Anushka's Instagram post, “Congratulations you both!”

Sidharth Malhotra tweeted, “Best wishes and love to the newlyweds @AnushkaSharma n @imVkohli Congratulations guys Happy married life."

Shahid, who has worked with Anushka in Badmash Company, also congratulated the couple and gave his best wishes to both the families.

Alia Bhat posted, “Congratulations @AnushkaSharma & @imVkohli!!! Wishing you all the love and happiness in the world!”

The newlywed couple will travel to South Africa where Virat will start prepping for the upcoming series and Anushka will spend New Year’s Eve with him and return in the first week of January to begin the next schedule of Anand L Rai’s film with Shah Rukh Khan in Mumbai. She will also start prepping for Sui Dhaaga as the shooting for the same starts in February 2018 with Varun Dhawan. Anushka will also be busy with the marketing and promotions of Pari which is releasing on 9th February.
