Yash will start filming for his upcoming film, Toxic soon, if reports are to be believed. The Kannada actor announced Toxic last year. The KGF star had released a video revealing the title and it hinted that he might play an anti-hero. While there have been no update on the cast or filming since, a few photos from the sets had released online. A source has now clarified that the pictures were not from the sets but from the team’s recce schedule. The insider added Yash is deeply involved in the film’s making and thus joined director Geetu Mohandas for the recee.
“For a decade now, Yash has worn many hats for all his films including that of a producer, and does justice to all. He has been closely involved in the creative process and works closely on multiple aspects. With Toxic, he is taking this a notch higher. Yash has meticulously put together the team for the film and is working closely with them, and the photos taken during recce with the team was one such instance,” the source said.
The insider added that the team will start filming soon. “The preparations are going on at a breakneck speed as they plan to start shooting very soon. Yash has completely immersed himself into preparation of the film to create the world of Toxic which aspires to strike a chord with audiences beyond boundaries,” the source said.
Meanwhile, the team of Toxic is yet to announce the remaining cast. A recent report claimed Kareena Kapoor will be making her Kannada film debut with Toxic. She is rumoured to be playing the sister in the film.
Speaking of Toxic, the film marks Yash’s 19th film. Formally titled as Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, the film will be directed by Geetu Mohandas and is co-produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The film is slated for theatrical release on April 10, 2025.
