Agastya Nanda FINALLY Breaks Silence On The Archies Trolling: 'I Am Going To Work Hard'
Agastya Nanda admitted that he wasn't prepared for the negative reactions to The Archies.

When The Archies was released on Netflix in December 2023, it received mixed reviews from all. A section of netizens was left dissatisfied with Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan and Kushi Kapoor’s performance in their debut movie. Over a month after the release of Zoya Akhtar’s directorial, Agastya has finally opened up about the negativity the young actors faced on social media.

Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson was speaking to The Film Companion recently when he admitted that he wasn’t prepared for the negative reactions to The Archies. “Honestly, I didn’t know how to deal with it. When you are not prepped in this area, you don’t know that many people have many opinions. And that’s okay, you must have your opinion but I didn’t know what was going on. Some people hated it, some people liked it, some people were indifferent to it and that’s ok,” Agastya said.

The young star further shared that The Archies was his “first try” and even though it did not work as expected, he is ready to work harder. “On some levels, it didn’t work and that’s ok. It’s my first try and I am going to work hard and get back up, try for the second and if that doesn’t work then try for the third and then the fourth but to get to that realisation took me some time,” he added.

When reminded how Abhishek, during his initial career days, used to put up negative reviews on walls to motivate him, Agastya admitted that everyone has to deal with criticism. “I just watched the film and see what’s happening and I just watched where I can improve, like any person in any field would do. Obviously, when you look at it I was like ‘Oh God what was I doing there, why did I say’ but I am not putting anything up on my wall. It’s a bit too dark,” he said.

Meanwhile, Agastya has already signed his next movie, Sriram Raghavan’s Ekkis. It is touted to be a biopic of the 1971 war hero, Arun Khetarpal and will also star veteran actor Dharmendra in a key role. Reportedly, Agastya is reading the script these days and will begin shooting for this film soon.
