Jawan: Eijaz Khan Recalls Working With SRK; Says 'He Meets, Hugs People Individually Before Leaving'

Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which was released in theatres on Thursday, September 7, features a stellar star cast including Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Deepika Padukone among others. However, the film not only includes performances from big names in the Indian film industry but also from the television world. From Riddhi Dogra to Eijaz Khan, the film is filled to the brim with top-notch actors. In a recent interview, Eijaz recalled what it felt like to work with Shah Rukh and how the superstar behaves on set.

Talking to Subhojit Ghosh, Eijaz said, “The greatest thing about Shah Rukh is that the amount of love we give him, he gives more in return to each and every individual.” Eijaz added that Shah Rukh would speak to the crew on set every day and treat them with the utmost kindness.

Eijaz said, “When he comes on set, of course, everyone’s in a hurry to start. But when he finishes the shoot, he goes to his van and changes, comes back, and then meets each and every person individually, hugs them, and then leaves. And you feel so special. It’s like your day is made, your month is made, your life is made. ‘Shah Rukh Khan hugged me’. If he knows something about you, he will ask.”

This is the second time Eijaz has worked with Shah Rukh. He recalled that in 2000, he got to perform some skits with Shah Rukh as part of Ganesh Hegde’s dance team. Eijaz said that when he told this to Shah Rukh, the superstar congratulated Eijaz on how far he had come in his career.

Many actors have often narrated incidents of Shah Rukh Khan’s magnanimous humility and grace. They have said that the actor treats everyone with utmost kindness and respect and this only adds to his charm and superstardom.
