MNS Chief Raj Thackeray Tests Covid-19 Positive After Hospitalisation, Hip Surgery Postponed
His hip surgery operation, which was scheduled to be held on Wednesday, was postponed after the Covid-19 positive report

MNS chief Raj Thackeray was on Tuesday tested positive for Covid-19 according to test reports at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital where he was admitted earlier in the day for undergoing a hip surgery. His operation, which was scheduled to be held on Wednesday, was postponed after the Covid-19 positive report, reports CNN-News18. The leader returned to his house after the hospital report.

Earlier this month, Thackeray, 53, had said he would be undergoing a surgery for his knee and back problems.

He will undergo the hip surgery tomorrow, MNS leader Nitin Sardesai had earlier said. Thackeray had been in the news after he recently gave an ultimatum to remove loudspeakers from mosques. He was also scheduled to go to Ayodhya on June 5, but he has put the plan on hold for now.
