Acclaimed actor Pankaj Tripathi, by his own admission, occasionally experiences moments of forgetfulness! On Wednesday, he surprised his fans by going live on Instagram. However, in a comical twist of events, he found himself unable to recall the purpose of his live session! Despite having a huge following of five million on the platform, Pankaj Tripathi greeted his fans and burst into laughter as he struggled to remember the reason behind his live broadcast.
“Hello everyone… and I don’t remember why I came live today! It is a frequent habit of mine, those who know me can testify on my behalf,” he said. As fans engaged with the actor during the live session, Pankaj briefly interacted with them before admitting that he had completely forgotten the reason for going live.
“I mean it really is something, you come live and then you forget why. Well, never mind it. I am extremely sorry for this. Whenever I remember why, I will immediately either come live or just post it on social media. Until then please keep giving me all your love,” he added.
Recently, Pankaj offered an explanation for why people think he’s a great actor. Speaking to Anupama Chopra, Pankaj said, “Kahi baat ho rahi thi toh ek mahila ne poocha ki aapko kab laga ki aap ek great actor hain? Maine kaha mujhe abhi bhi nahi malum hai ki main ek great actor hoon (A woman once asked me when I realised that I am a great actor. I said I still don’t know that I’m a great actor). Kyuki surrounding main itna average kaam ho raha hai aas paas ki thoda sa bhi above average aapko great lagne lagta hai. But main acting ko utna hi lightly leta hoon, koi jeewan maran ka prashn nahi hai (The work being done around us is so average that if anyone performs slightly above average, we think it is great. However, I take acting very lightly, it’s not a life or death situation).”
On the work front, Pankaj Tripathi last starred in successful films like Fukrey 3 and OMG 2. In Fukrey 3, he was part of an ensemble cast, while in OMG 2, he played the lead role, with Akshay Kumar in a supporting part.
