Shweta Tiwari To Play Intelligence Officer In Rohit Shetty's Singham Again After Indian Police Force; Deets
The trailer of Rohit Shetty's debut OTT series, Indian Police Force, was unveiled today.

TV star Shweta Tiwari is gearing up for the release of her next project, Indian Police Force, but details about her part are still kept under wraps. At the trailer launch of Rohit Shetty’s debut OTT series, he revealed that not just Indian Police Force but Shweta will also be seen in his next film, the much-anticipated Singham Again, which stars Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff and Deepika Padukone. The TV actor will be seen playing an intelligence officer in the film.

At the press conference, Shweta said, “Rohit sir told me that he will give me another project only if I get food on the set of Indian Police Force everyday. But without any of that, he offered his next film (laughs).”

Speaking about her experience of working on the Amazon Prime original show, she shared, “Being a part of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe is an honour in itself. I was so excited when I got a call from his team. When asked if I want to be a part of it, I excitedly said a yes! When asked if I want to listen to my character first, I said, ‘No! It’s okay, I am doing it.’ I had first met sir during Khatron Ke Khiladi. I used to be very scared of him. I am still so scared of him. On set, however, he made everyone comfortable.”

Shweta added, “When he is talking to you, you don’t know whether he’s joking or is serious. If you come late, he says, ‘Tu late aayi?’ You don’t understand if he’s just asking you or reprimanding you. And then he will keep bringing it up. Even at the drop of a pencil, he would say, ‘This is happening because Shweta came late.'”

TV actors have often been vocal about the discrimination they face while on a film set and how film actors get treated more respectfully than them. But none of that happened on the sets of Indian Police Force. “Rohit sir was so jovial all the time. Other film people often make you realise that you came from TV. But on this set, every actor received equal respect. That’s why it felt great working with him and his team. Many actors say that they don’t want to rehearse but on this set, everyone did scenes with you and came to you,” recalled Shweta.

Shedding light on Rohit’s process of working, Shweta said, “Above all, I have to mention that his team rehearses before us, actors, appear before the camera. They were so good that gave us a complex. The way his team performs before the camera when he makes them rehearse is amazing. They make you wonder if you will be able to match shoulders with them. His team is just too good – the way they perform and deliver their dialogues! It was an honour to be a part of his series and cop universe.”

Indian Police Force stars Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Vivek Oberoi and Isha Talwar, and is it all set to release on January 19.
