Koffee With Karan Season 8: Varun Dhawan has revealed he already knew that Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani were getting married. The Bawaal actor made the interesting revelation on the latest episode of Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan Season 8. Kiara, who tied the knot with Sidharth in February this year, was shooting for Jugjugg Jeeyo with Varun till November last year. Varun revealed that Kiara would talk so much about Sidharth on the set that he figured they both were pretty serious about each other.
When Karan asked Varun if he knew Sidharth and Kiara were getting married, the Bawaal actor said, “Yeah, I did. I knew so much about the lead up to the marriage. We were shooting Jugjugg Jeeyo together and the movie was about marriage and Kiara would keep asking us (Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and him) about our experience on marriage. She would talk to me so much about Sid. When you’re in love with someone you keep talking about that person. And, I just felt that they would definitely get married soon.”
Meanwhile, Sidharth also opened up about marrying his ladylove Kiara. He shared, “I came to Bombay (Mumbai) about 16 years ago, and I lived by myself for the initial years with friends. I shared rooms and apartments, and now I have this one person I have dated, and obviously, there is so much love. I feel more responsible now; I feel like I have another person I have to take care of.”
Sidharth continued, “She motivates me to work harder. What binds both of us together is that both of us are very family-oriented. Both of us have that upbringing. Even though she grew up in Mumbai, she is very disconnected. She is not so skewed by whatever is happening in the industry or behind the camera. I like that. I find that very refreshing; she could be in any profession. She handles her stardom in a way, possibly in a similar way that I like it. Even today, we like spending time together and meeting families. I never had a family in Bombay, but now I do thanks to her.”
