Under this strategic partnership, British Airways will introduce its flight codes to select destinations within IndiGo’s extensive network. As a result, travelers can look forward to a seamless and enriched travel experience when journeying between these two vibrant nations, according to a statement released by the airlines.

Codeshare flights will be available for booking starting Thursday, with the commencement of travel set for October 12, pending government approval.

Abhijit Dasgupta, Senior Vice President for Network Planning and Revenue Management at IndiGo, commented, “We are delighted to announce our codeshare agreement with British Airways. This partnership broadens the horizons for British Airways customers traveling to and from London Heathrow, utilizing the extensive IndiGo network in India.”

Codesharing is basically a strategic practice that allows an airline to accommodate its passengers on partner carriers, ensuring a seamless journey to destinations where it may not have a physical presence.
