New Delhi: Senior BJP leader LK Advani's nation wide Jan Chetna Yatra enters its second day on Wednesday. According to his route map, he will be addressing the press at Patna and then move ahead to Varanasi.
It is reported that he will be addressing three public meetings in Varanasi on Wednesday itself.
Advani on Tuesday began his 38-day anti-corruption yatra from Sitab Diara village in Bihar - the birth place of Socialist leader Jaya Prakash Narayan.
Avoiding the leadership crisis issue within the BJP, Advani stuck to speeches on corruption and urged voters to defeat the ruling UPA government.
Speaking ahead of the yatra, Advani said, "I have come to this village for the first time and I accept Nitish Kumar's invitation to come here again after completing the the yatra."
Slamming the UPA government for poor governance and corruption, he accused the Manmohan Singh government of using all means to stay in power. "The party at the Centre is trying to remain in power by corruption," he said.
The yatra was flagged off by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Advani was accompanied by senior BJP leaders, including Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, Ananth Kumar and Ravi Shankar Prasad.
