Akhilesh Yadav to Start UP Poll Campaign on his Own, Won't Wait for Mulayam's SP Jubilee Function

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has decided to steal the thunder from father and Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav by launching his ‘Vikas Yatra’ from November 3, sounding the poll bugle for SP cadre, two days before Yadav Sr. is to kick off the party’s “official" campaign at the SP’s 25th anniversary function.

Akhilesh camp was livid after Mulayam said at a function that the party’s chief ministerial candidate will be decided only after the polls. But within days, in what was being seen as an attempt to end the political bickering, party general secretary and close Mulayam Singh aide Kironmoy Nanda clarfieid that Akhilesh Yadav will be the CM face of SP in Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections scheduled for 2017.
