New Delhi The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has begun its Citizens Call Campaign in Varanasi and Amethi Lok Sabha constituencies, enabling its volunteers as well as the common man from across the country to canvass for its nominees.
A party leader on Sunday said AAP volunteers, as well as the people, from across the country can contact voters in these two Uttar Pradesh constituencies over phone to canvass for the party nominees.
The party has also provided toll free numbers for both the constituencies which will directly connect a caller to the voter.
AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal is taking on BJP's PM candidate Narendra Modi in Varanasi, while senior leader Kumar Vishwas is pitted against Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi in Amethi.
The AAP leader said supporters would call the voters in these constituencies and highlight the achievements of the AAP government in Delhi, and counter the allegations of opposition parties that Kejriwal resigned as the Chief Minister in haste.
In this high-tech campaign, when a dialler calls at the toll free number, the server automatically connects the call to one of the voters of these two constituencies.
