Hyderabad: Telugu filmstar-turned-politician Chiranjeevi was forced to taste the power of common people during voting on Wednesday. When Union Tourism Minister Chiranjeevi tried to jump the queue to cast his vote, voters standing in the queue objected.
The angry voters questioned the VIP treatment he was accorded and exchanged heated words with him at a polling station in Hyderabad. A shocked and embarrassed Chiranjeevi tried to give some clarification, but some young voters took him to task in the presence of all other voters.
Twitter reactions were quick to the incident with the hashtag VotertoChiranjeevi. The tweeple praised the brave young voter Karthick who first questioned Chiranjeevi at a polling booth. He has now become a Twitter celebrity. Within a few minutes, Twitter has been flooded with tweets attacking Chiranjeevi's VIP attitude.
