New Delhi: Ashok Pradhan, former BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddh Nagar, on Tuesday joined the Samajwadi Party.

BJP, however, had a new member from the same constituency earlier this week. Ramesh Chand Tomar resigned from the Congress to join the party shortly after the deadline to file nominations had ended. The Congress has approached the SC on postponing the election date in the constituency over the matter as Tomar was its candidate from the seat.
