Former Kerala CM K Karunakaran dies

Thiruvananthapuram: Former Kerala Chief Minister and Congress leader K Karunakaran died on Thursday.

93-year old Karunakaran was admitted to Ananathapuram Hospital and Research Institute with severe breathing problem and fever on December 10. He was critically ill and was on ventilator support.

After remaining serious for several days, his condition had improved earlier this week and was taken off ventilator.

Ventilator support was resumed on Wednesday for him after he suffered acute

breathing trouble following a stroke.
