NDA started the abuse of CBI, Congress continued it, BSP leader Satish Chandra Mishra said.
New Delhi: The BSP leader in Rajya Sabha Satish Chandra Mishra on Thursday advocated for the autonomy of the CBI, saying the government should not have any control over the premier investigative agency.
"CBI should be autonomous. Government should not have any control. NDA started the abuse of CBI, Congress continued it," the BSP leader said.
Making his party's stand clear on the issue of reservation, he said, "People in the government don't want schedule cast judges in the higher judiciary. We want reservation in higher judiciary."
"Congress is worried only about two districts in Uttar Pradesh, Amethi and Rae Bareily. Government argument over Lokpal Bill will not sustain," he said.
