Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit China in November. Vice Minister of the Chinese government Al Ping on Monday met Modi to discuss his schedule.
"In view of Gujarat's surge towards top position in global economy, Modi plans to visit China during November 2011," an official release from the state government said.
"Ping extended an invitation to Gujarat Chief Minister to visit China and discussed with him his schedule of the visit," it said.
Ping discussed the possibilities of partnership between Gujarat and China in various sectors of development.
Modi outlined the state government's project of constructing a huge temple where Buddha's relics will be preserved. Ping showed readiness to extend technological support in the construction of the temple, the release said.
