NDA government is behaving like a property dealer for industrialists, says Kejriwal
Kejriwal said the Delhi government will use all its power to save the land of the people of the state even though this law did not fall under its jurisdiction.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday hit hard at the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre over the controversial Land Acquisition Bill and accused it of behaving like a "property dealer for the industrialists". He also sang paeans about anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare and invited him to his secretariat on Wednesday.

Speaking at Jantar Mantar, where Hazare is sitting on a two-day protest against the Land Acquisition Bill, Kejriwal said the amendment is against the poor and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) opposed this strongly. He said there were several cases of corruption during Congress regime which he highlighted.

Sharing the stage with Hazare, Kejriwal said the Congress also tried to do the same thing but people did not choose Congress. Now, the BJP was amending the Congress-made laws. Hitting out hard at the BJP government over the bill, he said, "The NDA government is acting as a property dealer for the industrialists,"

He praised Hazare and said he considered him his guru and was like his father. He also requested Hazare to visit the Delhi secretariat on Wednesday for 10 minutes and address all heads of department.

Kejriwal said the Delhi government will use all its power to save the land of the people of the state even though this law did not fall under its jurisdiction. "If the land will be taken from the people, then market rate should be given to all those people," he said.

Meanwhile, Hazare's agitation, which entered its second and last day on Tuesday, is being supported by 22 farmers' organisations across the country.

The consent for land acquisition remained the key issue for the agitators. Hazare had said earlier that Kejriwal, as a chief minister, would be allowed to share stage with him but he will not allow party leaders like Rahul Gandhi to be on the stage.
