Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s party Janata Dal (U) emerged as the kingmaker in the next government as the BJP fell short in Lok Sabha elections.
Though Kumar is a part of the NDA at present, but he is infamously known as “paltu-ram” for switching sides frequently. The JDU won in six constituencies and is leading in six others in Bihar.
At the time of reporting, the BJP has won and has a lead in 240 constituencies while INDIA has a lead and recorded wins in 223 constituencies.
Nitish was one of the leaders who brought opposition parties together under the INDIA bloc but switched to the BJP months before the Lok Sabha elections.
While all eyes will be on Nitish and his next political move, social media users came up with some hilarious memes on X.
Given his history, social media joked that Nitish might switch sides. Many joked that Nitish might be flooded with calls from both parties while he enjoyed the attention.

Nitish babu deserves a Netflix series.Every episode obviously ends on a cliffhanger about which party he aligns with next. This could be the season finale if he works it out.

Meanwhile, JDU spokesperson KC Tyagi told News18 that they will continue to support NDA. “…We continue with our previous stand. Under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, JD(U) once again expresses its support in NDA… We are with the NDA, we will continue to be with the NDA,” Tyagi said.
