New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address four rallies on October 8 instead of three scheduled earlier as the Bharatiya Janata Party plans to use his charisma to put its rivals on the back foot.
Modi will address rallies in Munger, Samastipur, Begusarai and Nawada on October 8 and then spend the night in Patna. He will go on election campaign again the next day and address three rallies at Sasaram, Makhdumpur and Arwal. His plans for October 10 have been put on hold for now.
Modi will meet Bihar BJP core group in Patna on October 8. He has told BJP leaders that he will spend as much time as required in Bihar to campaign.
BJP-led National Democratic Alliance is locked in a bitter battle with the Mahagathbandhan of Janata Dal United-Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress. The other partners of BJP are Lok Janshakti Party, Rashtriya Lok Samata Party and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular).
The five phase elections will take place from October 12 and end on November 5. The other dates of voting are October 16, 28 and November 1, Counting of votes will take place on November 8 and the entire election process will be over by November 12.
The term of the current 243-member Bihar Assembly expires on November 29.
