New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh has accused Baba Ramdev and Aam Admi Party (AAP) of instigating anti-gangrape protesters to indulge in violence at Delhi's India Gate. Singh said that a Delhi Police constable died while controlling the protesters and asked if it is the media or the protesters who will decide who was behind his death?

Targeting Baba Ramdev and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, Singh said that a peaceful students' agitation was being hijacked by politicians and self-appointed leaders. He blamed Ramdev of Kejriwal for the violence at India Gate in which several protesters, police personnel and media persons were injured. A Delhi Police constable, Subhash Tomar, who had collapsed and suffered cardiac arrest during the clashes with the protesters died on Tuesday.

The protesters were agitating against the brutal assault and gangrape of a 23-year-old paramedical student in a private bus.
