160. Sagwara is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Rajasthan and is part of Banswara (ST) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Sagwara falls in Dungarpur district and South region of Rajasthan. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,40,761 voters in the seat, which includes 1,22,829 male voters, and 1,17,932 female voters. In the 2018 Rajasthan elections, Sagwara recorded a voter turnout of 71.03%. In 2013 the turnout was 71.78%, and in 2008 it was 64.5%.
In 2013, Anita Katara of BJP won the seat by a margin of 640 votes (0.42%). Anita Katara secured 45.74% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 32,326 votes (27.08%), registering 61.51% of the total votes polled.
